For beef cattle grazing low magnesium pastures
CRYSTALYX® SUPERMAG™ contains 4.4 percent magnesium
and is designed to provide supplemental magnesium to cattle
consuming low magnesium forages or grass pastures that are
high in potassium, which can interfere with magnesium absorption.
Grass tetany is primarily a concern with animals grazing lush
and rapidly growing forages; usually during early spring.
A similar condition, winter tetany, can occur when animals
are fed excessively low quality and low magnesium forages
during the winter. As with all CRYSTALYX® Brand Supplements,
SUPERMAG™ is a very palatable high energy supplement.
Most sources of supplemental magnesium are extremely unpalatable.
The high palatability of molasses masks the unpalatability
of magnesium in SUPERMAG™ and helps ensure more consistent
and uniform magnesium intake by cattle. In instances where

to cattle on summer pasture.
