Why is hydrolyzed feather meal used in some CRYSTALYX ® Brand Supplements?
Popular CRYSTALYX® products containing hydrolyzed feather meal are: Natural-20(TM), NATURAL-27(TM), BGF-30(TM), HP-40(TM), Replacement Heifer Formula(TM) , Rolyx(TM) Pro, Goat-Lyx(TM) and Premium Goat & Sheep(TM).
One of the most researched products in the CRYSTALYX® line is CRYSTALYX® BGF-30(TM). Several digestion trials have been conducted with BGF-30(TM) at Kansas State University. These studies have shown CRYSTALYX® BGF-30(TM) to increase dry matter digestibility of low quality forages by 21%, 36%, 43%, and 44% over a control. Hydrolyzed feather meal is undoubtedly an effective source of protein in selected CRYSTALYX® products. Hydrolyzed feather meal plays a significant role in enabling high protein formulas to be manufactured, while providing the best overall performance and maximum return on investment.
