It’s yet another demonstration of the CRYSTALYX® commitment to quality and food safety, and a very high standard that makes CRYSTALYX® unique among livestock supplements. CRYSTALYX® manufacturing facilities are all certified by FCI, ISO 9001 and HACCP. That alone is significant, but it’s even more important from the producer’s standpoint.
First, here’s what all those letters mean:
FCI stands for Facility Certification Institute. FCI certification means that
CRYSTALYX® facilities do not use, handle or store restricted-use protein products. That’s DEPENDABLE.
ISO 9001 is from the International Organization of Standards, a worldwide organization that has developed international standards for quality management systems. Being ISO 9001 registered means that CRYSTALYX® products are manufactured the same way, every time, in order to ensure a quality product. That’s CONSISTENT.
HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, a systematic preventive approach to food safety that focuses on critical control points in food and feed manufacturing in order to reduce or eliminate the risk of hazards being realized. That means CRYSTALYX® products are manufactured with food safety in mind. That’s SAFETY.
This commitment brings value to CRYSTALYX® customers who can count on dependable ingredient supplies that prevent the establishment and/or spread of animal disease. It means CRYSTALYX® products and performance are consistent. And because critical control points are managed, producers can be assured of safety in the entire food chain.
