CRYSTALYX® Helps Wyoming Rancher Turn Straw Into "Gold"

Bob Rabou and his family ranch near Albin, Wyoming. His family has been ranching there since 1905. Rabou runs a commercial, cow/calf operation and also runs yearlings and keeps his own replacement heifers. He's been a CRYSTALYX® user for more than two years.

"It seemed like the cows held up better after they calved and started cycling sooner and we didn't have as many dry cows," Rabou says. "We didn't have as many problems with scours as we normally do. Plus the body condition was better on the cows in the spring, especially after they calved. They held up a lot better."
Rabou fed CRYSTALYX® HE 20% to his yearlings all winter long. You might say the supplement helped turn straw into "gold."
"I was a little bit short on hay and so I tried this as an experiment," Rabou said. "We had quite a bit of wheat straw and we had quite a little oat straw and we fed that to the yearlings along with the CRYSTALYX® and I couldn't hardly believe it, but they ate that straw just as good as they ate the hay and I think it saved me probably 50% on the hay."
Supplementing with CRYSTALYX® helped Rabou make it through another dry year.
