Brigade® has definitely worked for us and it's paid in every avenue of our operation.

Over the past four years, CPC Livestock, a backgrounding operation located near Fountain Run, KY, has been running its own trials to determine whether Brigade®, a CRYSTALYX® Brand Supplement formulated to help relieve stress in newly-weaned calves, is cost effective in their operation or not.
Their latest trial has convinced them it is.
In their most recent trial, CPC divided a pen of 700 new arrivals into two equal groups and fed them identical pelleted rations. One group had access to Brigade® low-moisture block supplements, the other group did not. The difference was clear, according to Ivan Pedigo, one of three CPC owner-managers.
"The Brigade®-supplemented cattle consumed more feed and outgained the other group by almost a half a pound a day. They were up to 15 pounds heavier after 40 days on feed," said Pedigo.
According to co-owner Marshall Celsor, when stressed calves consume about two-tenths of a pound of Brigade® per-head, per-day, dry matter intake increases, feed efficiency improves, calf gains go up and treatment costs go down.
Brian Celsor, a co-owner of CPC who oversees the operation's health program, summarized their experience with Brigade®.
"All of our trial work has proven that we definitely treat fewer cattle and have fewer incidents of deaths", he said "The main observation I have noticed is when we move cattle from one field to another, it seems like the first place they go is towards those Brigade® barrels."
Four years of trials have the owners of CPC Livestock convinced that Brigade® delivers results.
"I think we're about to give up on trying to beat it", said Ivan Pedigo. "It's definitely worked for us and it's paid in every avenue of our operation."
