"I believe in what I sell."

Steve Carpenter
Bullard, TX

August, 2003

Steve Carpenter has a unique perspective on the feed business. Carpenter is the owner of Circle C Feed in Bullard, Texas and a registered Charolais breeder. His daily experience as the owner and manager of a busy east Texas feed store while also running a commercial cattle herd has given him an appreciation for CRYSTALYX® Brand Supplements.

"I believe in what I sell, and I believe in CRYSTALYX®," Carpenter said. "I fed CRYSTALYX® BGF-30™ to my own cows and got first-hand experience about the advantages of the product before I sold it."

Livestock producers in the Bullard area are taking Carpenter's advice and experiencing labor savings, low cost per-head, per-day, no waste and uniform, controlled consumption with CRYSTALYX®.

A majority of east Texas pastures are a Bermuda Grass variety, and BGF-30™ (Bermuda Grass Formulation, 30% protein) has been a popular choice at Circle C Feed. BGF-30™ is an excellent supplement for dry summertime pastures. And it is also an ideal formulation for cattle consuming moderate to low quality forages during the winter feeding months.

Around-the-clock fly protection and supplemental nutrition go hand in hand for Circle C Feeds and it's customers too, with Rolyx™ Pro and Rolyx™ Max from CRYSTALYX®. And if a customer asks if Rolyx™ is an effective fly control program, Carpenter says "Here's the key to my pasture gate." Rolyx™ contains the performance-proven oral larvicide RABON® to provide cattle with protection from horn flies, face flies, stable flies and houseflies.

"The feed store business in my area is changing," Carpenter said. "Many of my customers travel to and from work in nearby Tyler, Texas, and a growing number of those customers are women. The new 60-pound container, along with the 125-pound and 250-pound containers offer good options for different sized operations and management practices."

"What is good for my personal livestock operation, my feed store and my valued customers are all, in this case, the same thing. That's why I say again, I believe in what I sell and I believe in CRYSTALYX®."

(Pilgrim's Feed, Mount Pleasant, Texas, is the CRYSTALYX® distributor to Circle C Feed. John Vickers, Pilgrim's Feed Sales Representative, services the account.)
