CRYSTALYX® NP-27™ is designed as a free-choice supplement for
high quality hay, early and late season pastures, ammonia treated forages
and rations with added non-protein nitrogen. Use NP-27™ for cattle
requiring high levels of bypass protein, such as rapidly growing calves,
developing bulls and replacement heifers and thin cows between late gestation
and breeding.

"It's not logical how well it works..."

Coming off the 1996 drought in north central Montana, Glen Kitson was concerned about his replacement heifers. The heifers didn't seem to be cycling and it was getting time to breed them. So Kitson included CRYSTALYX® Natural-27™ with their hay and range cubes.
The strategy paid off with a 90 percent conception rate. "We got the desired results and the cattle really shined up. They looked great," Kitson says.
He also found benefit from using CRYSTALYX® to manage his range land. "If there's a brush pile that you want them to graze, just place a tub in the brush pile."
He admits that why CRYSTALYX® works is a bit of mystery to him. After years of feeding cattle and selling feed, he's got the numbers down pat. A range cow needs 2 pounds of protein a day. Feeding 1 pound of CRYSTALYX® HE-20%™ provides just 2/10ths of a pound of protein. For the same amount of money, he can feed 3 pounds of range cake and provide 6/10ths of a pound of protein. Yet, the cattle do well on CRYSTALYX®. "It's not logical how well it works," he says.
