He's been doing that for eight years now. Grande Vista Ranch consistently weans Brangus-Baldy cross steer and heifer calves that weigh over 600 pounds. Breedback on the cows is 92 percent or better. And the cows stay in good condition. "That's proof to us that it's working," Vega says.
