Overview

CRYSTALYX Blueprint Dry Cow Formula is a self-fed supplement designed for use in addition to a balanced ration for dry cows.

  • Intended to be fed only during the dry period (typically 30–60 days prior to calving) along with a long-stem, low-calcium forage

  • Continue feeding until freshening or until cows are switched to Crystalyx® Blueprint® Close-Up Formula or Crystalyx® Blueprint® Transition Stress Formula

  • Fortified with vitamins, minerals and 100% Bioplex organic trace minerals to aid in reducing metabolic disorders and subsequent re-breeding problems

Feeding Instructions

Practical guidance for optimal herd performance

  1. Placement

    Place containers in areas that achieve desired supplement intake.

  2. Relocation

    Feed at the rate of one container for every 20–30 head.

  3. Accessibility

    A minimum of two (2) containers may be necessary in each lot or pasture to ensure proper accessibility.

  4. Quantity

    Cattle typically consume between 0.2 and 0.6 pounds per head per day.

  5. Monitoring

    Self-fed consumption will depend on size of the animals fed, seasonal weather conditions, as well as the quality, source, and availability of other feeds.

CRYSTALYX BLUEPRINT DRY COW FORMULA supplement is designed to be fed only during the dry period, which is typically 30-60 days in length prior to calving. ALL CONSUMPTION FIGURES STATED HERE ARE APPROXIMATE. PROVIDE FREE ACCESS TO FRESH, CLEAN WATER AT ALL TIMES. CRYSTALYX BLUEPRINT DRY COW FORMULA CONTAINS NO SALT. LIMIT SALT INTAKE TO APPROXIMATELY ONE (1) OUNCE PER HEAD PER DAY.

CAUTION: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED. FOR RUMINANTS ONLY. Feeding added selenium in excess of 0.3 ppm in the total diet is prohibited.

WARNING: This product, which contains added copper, should not be fed to sheep or any species that have a low tolerance to supplemental copper.

WARNING: For Jersey Dairy cattle, which are known to be sensitive to copper toxicity, consider all sources of dietary copper in the complete diet. Supplemental copper sources and/or ingredient levels may need to be modified in these animal feeding situations.
